High Country Conservation Advocates (HCCA) is thrilled to present the 43th Annual RED LADY SALVATION BALL on Friday, March 6th, 2020 at the Public House in Crested Butte featuring Easy Jim. Mark your calendars to get your RED on and join our efforts to SAVE RED LADY!

For 43 years, HCCA has worked tirelessly, in the longest running mine fight in the country, to keep a massive molybdenum mine from being developed on Mt. Emmons (locally known as “RED LADY”), which rises above the town of Crested Butte and is an icon of our valley.

Come support our efforts at the 43th annual Ball as you dance the night away to Easy Jim, Gunnison Valley’s tribute to the Grateful Dead. Just like  the original, they feature two drummers, two guitars, bass, and keys.  The band is comprised of musicians well-known on the local music scene:  Dwayne Dodson, Zach Gorsuch, Tyler Lucas, Kevin Reinert, and Ben Wright. Their shows are dedicated to preserving the songs and creative inspiration of the Grateful Dead, and represent the complete repertoire of the band throughout its storied history. You’ll experience Bob Weir cowboy  songs, Jerry Garcia ballads, Phil’s bass drops, the Rhythm Devil’s infectious beat, rockers, jammers, and everything in between. They are ready to turn up the heat as they join us in our efforts to SAVE RED LADY!

This year’s Ball will commence at 7:30 pm featuring a happy hour with appetizers. Then, at 9:00 pm, get REDDY to dance as Easy Jim takes center stage. Don’t forget the crowning of the RED LADY and the fantastic raffle, at 10:30 pm.
